Welcome to our new look newsletter

We are delighted to bring you an upgraded and professional service to keep you up to date with our workshops webinars, tele-classes and of course our products.

Starting from this month, I will be introducing a new topic each month that I think will help you in your business and personal life.

Thank you to all those wonderful women who visited our Expo at the Convention Centre in February. We had a terrific day and had the most attendance ever! The location was fabulous and the feedback we received from you, our customers, was overwhelming! THANK YOU!!

I would love your feedback at any time, so why not contact us and let us know what you think about our new newsletter and website.

The NJE Team

I think it is universally agreed that Albert Einstein was a smart man. So much of our World is geared around what he discovered and his thinking that came from it.
One of his famous quotes gives us the topic I will be blogging about this month.

"We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them."

As women, we are almost constantly doing more than one thing. Often, what we do is done so many times over we do it by rote … I can gather the washing baskets from each room, sort the piles and put load after load on (hanging them out in between) without really even thinking about it.

This serves us well for many things, like washing, cleaning, remembering to run children here and there and getting the family dinner cooked in the meantime.

But what things are you doing on autopilot that are not working for you and your direct selling business? Are you sticking with a hostess program that isn't working as quickly as you want? Are you using the same team building scripts (that you may not even like) that are not working, but expecting to get different results each time you use them?

So what if we tried to apply Einstein's quote to helping us solve our problem? (Assuming for now we have only 1!!!)

How can you start to think differently about a problem that you have? Lets face it, sometimes all we can see are the "issues" in our lives and day in day out they keep popping up for us to see and frankly just cause trouble! And if we continue to try to solve them in the same way they were created, Einstein is right, they will never be solved.

So what can we do about it? During March, I will email you some suggestions as to how I think you can change your thinking so that there are less problems for you to deal with. I have selected 3 ways that I think may help us to 'see' an issue differently so that we can stop some of those problems. Would you like that?

Problem Solving Solution # 1: Is it REALLY my problem?

Is it really your problem or have you MADE it your problem?
When I meet women in workshops or through coaching them, one thing we often all have in common is taking on the burdens of others. The downside of this is it often becomes a pain in the neck for us! When originally it was not our problem to have to deal with.

Action To Take

Take out a piece of paper now and write up a list of all those things in your life that right now are a problem for you. Scan that list. Which issues REALLY belong to you and which ones don't?

Look at this list below that I made up:

1. Your mother is having problems with her sister

2. Your 15 year old won't do his homework and keeps getting detention at school

3. A hostess keeps postponing her party with you

4. Your husband keeps forgetting to be home on-time for you to go do the parties you do have booked

5. The school wants a volunteer to run the latest fundraiser and you are the one they want but you don't have time to do it and you 'feel' guilty.

It would be easy for you to take each and every one of those problems and 'own them' but what if you changed your thinking, just a little and LET GO of those that really are not your concern.

If you can detach yourself from the situation and just look at the problems on their own, then numbers 1 and 5 should definitely be crossed off your list. Number 2 – regarding your 15 year old, well as a parent we need to certainly try to help him sort the situation out, but if in consultation with his school, he still doesn't do his homework and gets into trouble, then you may need to let him work out that actions have consequences on his own.

So what problems can you cross of your list that don't really belong to you? Let go… you might find your shoulders feel lighter if you do

In a few days I will email you with Problem Solving Tip # 2.
