Mother’s Day Check out our Mother’s Day stickers that you can put on your catalogues or on anything you mail out to customers. (See special offer on the right). My mum will be coming to Melbourne this year, after not seeing her on Mother’s Day for a few years. It will be really special because she had a heart attack in December (but is recovering well) and so I feel very blessed that she is still here to spend another Mother’s Day with me. Coffee Club Network For those of you who live in Melbourne, don’t forget our fortnightly Coffee Club Network meetings. Don’t sit at home and be lonely, come out and have a chat with other direct selling women. Children are most welcome. Our next one is April 18th at 9.30am. We will be talking about this months topic “In Pursuit of Happiness” and I will have a few of our products for you to see (Including the Mother's Day Stickers). Look forward to seeing you there. Webinar – “How to use Stickers to increase attendance and sales” Our first webinar was scheduled for today, but I am having “issues” finding the right service for us to use, so I will postpone it to next month, but I will let you know the new date. Thanks to those of you who registered, you will be receiving a personal email from me giving you advance notice of the new date. NJP Community We are in the process of launching a forum to enable people to post questions and get answers about direct selling and anything to do with our products and services. I will keep you posted on a launch date but I am preparing for it to be in the first week of May. We are really excited about this new development and look forward to communicating with you in our new community space. Till next month - Michelle
Unless you have lived under a rock in the past 5 years, you would have heard about “The Secret” and other books/dvds/ etc that came after it. Essentially it talks about how you can have everything you want in life if only you changed your thinking. Following on from that it became popular to “pursue happiness”…but what exactly did/does that mean? If we are in pursuit of something, can it ever be obtained and will we know when we get there?? I want to put a different twist on it for you to think about this month, and it will be our theme for the rest of the month and will be our topic for our fortnightly coffee mornings in Melbourne. My radical idea for you, that I would like you to think about is this; unless you can get happy with what you have got now, with where you are in life now, then “pursing happiness’ will be all you ever do… pursue, not find. Now I am not talking here about being comfortable or complacent about where you are, and I am not talking about not have having goals or dream, because I think these are essential, but I am talking about a fundamental state of being where nothing will change for you unless you express gratitude and ‘happiness’ for this one moment, right here, right now. Now you may be thinking, well Michelle, I am not all that happy with my life right now, I want a bigger house, my husband needs to help more, I need more customers in my business, what is there to be happy about??? I could take the line and say, well at least you weren’t living in Japan when the Tsunami came, or in the middle of Libya right now, and I could ask you to say a blessing for the fact that you aren’t. But would that make any difference to you? I challenge you for this month only, to sit down at the end of each day and write down 3 things that you are grateful for, for the day that just passed. Some days you might write “I woke up today”… but that’s ok. But you will find that eventually you will become much more creative in your thinking about the things that you are grateful for and the things that make you happy. It can be little or it can be small. One of the things I really like is a small candle burning on my kitchen bench, to catch a glimpse of it as I walk past makes me smile inside and out. Now that is a very small thing, but when I do it each day (and I go through long periods when I don’t!!!) but when I do, I notice that in general I ‘feel’ better about what is going on around me. The sight of it burning makes me happy. What ‘small’ things happen in your day that makes you happy that you barely even notice??? This month take the time to stop and notice those small things and record them in your grateful list. Action To Take So your challenge is – 3 things each day that make you grateful (and happy) so that you can focus on the good things in your life, which I promise you, will help your mindset within a short period of time. And YES you do need 3 things….. no excuses…. If you send me your 3 things for each day by May 3, I will send you a NJP product as your reward for a job well done. I look forward to your responses Michelle |
